How to Join a Remoto Team as a Guest

This article explains how you join a Remoto Team as a Guest when you have been invited to join a session on behalf a Team.
Why You Need to Join the Team
When a session is created under a company Team, all participants must belong to that Team to:
- Enforce company security requirements
- Limit session access to authorized users
- Maintain consistent governance
Joining the Team allows you to securely access the session you were invited to.
Joining the Team When You Join a Session (Web)
Step 1: Open the Session Invitation Email
The email will indicate the session is hosted on behalf of a company Team.
Step 2: Select "Join Session"
Click Join Session to open the join flow in your browser.
Step 3: Sign In or Create a Remoto Account
Sign in or create an account if prompted.
Step 4: Accept Team Membership
You may see a prompt stating:
“You were invited to join this session by <Company>. By continuing, you will join <Company>’s Team.”
Click Continue to join the Team as a Guest.
Step 5: Join the Session
After accepting, you'll be guided through the rest of the flow to join the session automatically.
Joining the Team from the Desktop Application
You may also be prompted to join a Team when signing into the Remoto Desktop application.
- After signing in, the app checks for pending Guest invitations
- If one exists, a blocking prompt is displayed
- Select Accept to join the Team and access your sessions
If You Decline Team Membership
- Declining blocks access to the session
- You may see follow-up screens explaining Team membership is required
- You can re-enter the flow later by clicking Join Session again or signing back into the Desktop app
What You Can Do as a Guest
As a Guest, you can:
- View and join sessions you are invited to on behalf of the Company Team
As a Guest, you cannot:
- Schedule or host sessions on behalf of the Company Team, or,
- Manage users, roles, or seats on behalf of the Company Team
