Playback installation steps

Please note that while you can always download Playback for free via https://remotopro.io/download, you won’t be able to create and schedule streaming sessions until you’ve purchased a session or subscription and signed up for an “Organizer” account. A Guest user can always join a streaming session through the downloaded application for free.

Before you start please make sure you have at least 2GB of free space available on your hard drive for installation purposes.

Playback installation steps

  1. Download the most recent version of Playback here: https://remotopro.io/download
  2. Navigate to the installer in your “Downloads” Folder
  3. Click to open the installer:
  1. Click and Drag "RemotoPlayback" to your “Applications” folder.

You can now open Playback from your “Applications” folder.

NOTE: macOS “Privacy & Security” - Remoto doesn’t have control over when you will be prompted to set these for Playback. To avoid needing to restart Playback at an inopportune time, it’s a good idea to set these before you open the application for the first time. In macOS “Privacy & Security” Settings (Apple Menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security) make surePlayback is enabled for Microphone, Camera and Screen Recording. For more info please see our macOS permissions article.
