A Remoto Team Account is an organization-level workspace for Playback. It represents a company or team that uses Remoto under shared licensing, with centralized user management, roles, and security policies.

Personal products on the Remoto store (complimentary Free Sessions, single sessions, and Time Bundles) belong to an individual Remoto account. A Team Account is different: sessions are created under the organization’s licensing, and access is governed by Team membership and roles.

Who a Team Account is for

Team Accounts are designed for organizations that need:

  • Shared session capacity across multiple Organizers
  • Centralized control of who can host, administer, or join
  • Company-level security requirements (for example, Team MFA policies)
  • Optional enterprise features such as Remoto Capture Agent

If you only host occasional personal sessions, a Free Session, single session, or Time Bundle may be enough. For custom hour packages, guest counts, stream specs, or enterprise licensing beyond standard store products, contact Remoto Sales at sales@remotopro.io.

How a Team Account differs from personal products

  Personal account Team Account
Licensing Free Sessions, single sessions, or Time Bundles purchased for one Remoto user Organization licensing provisioned for the company
Who hosts The account holder with Organizer access Users assigned the Organizer role on the Team
Administration Individual account settings Team Admins manage users, roles, and usage in the Admin Panel
Security Personal MFA and per-session guest security Team membership, Team MFA policies, and session security controls
Purchase path Remoto store Remoto Sales / enterprise plan

When you schedule a session in Playback Desktop, you select the account the session is created under — for example Personal (Time Bundle or single session) or a Team Account name.

What you get with a Team Account

A Team Account typically includes:

  • Shared licensing — Sessions use your organization’s Team Account capacity instead of a personal Time Bundle or single-session purchase
  • Role-based access — Owner, Admin, Organizer, and Guest roles control who administers the Team and who can schedule or host
  • Admin Panel — A web dashboard at https://admin.remotopro.io/ for inviting users, assigning roles, reviewing usage, and managing Team settings
  • Team security — Membership and optional Team MFA policies that apply when accessing Team resources and Team sessions
  • Quick Session — Fast session creation for Team Accounts (also available for Time Bundle users)
  • Remoto Capture Agent (optional) — A companion capture application available for Team Accounts, for separating capture hardware from the Organizer’s Playback Desktop

Team roles at a glance

Roles define what each user can do within a Team Account.

  • Owner — Designated when the Team Account is created. Anchors the account and invites the first Admin(s). Not intended for day-to-day administration or hosting sessions.
  • Admin — Manages users, roles, seats, usage, and Team profile settings in the Admin Panel. Also holds Guest membership.
  • Organizer — Schedules, manages, and hosts Playback sessions on behalf of the Team using Playback Desktop. Also holds Guest membership.
  • Guest — Baseline membership for every Team member. Enforces Team security controls. Alone, Guest does not grant Admin Panel access or the ability to schedule/host sessions. Session participation still requires a session invitation.

Every user who joins a Team Account is automatically assigned Guest. Admin and Organizer are optional roles granted on top of Guest. A user can hold both Admin and Organizer.

For detailed role behavior, see Remoto Admin Panel & Team Invitations FAQ.

How people join a Team Account

Team membership is invitation-based:

  • Admins and Organizers receive a Team invitation email and accept it in a browser (or in Playback Desktop after sign-in). See How to Accept a Remoto Team Invitation (Admins & Organizers).
  • Guests may be prompted to join the Team when joining a session hosted under that Team, so company security rules apply. See How to Join a Remoto Team as a Guest.

A Team Account invitation is not the same as a session invitation. Your admin may invite you to the Team so you can host sessions, manage users, or join sessions under that company’s security rules.

How to get a Team Account

Team Accounts are not purchased as Time Bundles on the Remoto store. Organizations work with Remoto Sales for enterprise licensing and onboarding.

Contact sales@remotopro.io for Team Account or custom licensing options.

When a Team Account is created, the customer designates an Owner email. The Owner invites the first Admin user(s). After at least one Admin is active, routine administration is performed by Admins in the Admin Panel.
