Alerts
⇒ Desktop & Web Streaming - Audio streaming is limited to Stereo at this time. Please make sure your audio source program is sending stereo to Remoto.
⇒ Safari: Guests joining a session through Safari may experience audio crashes. If this happens, rejoin the session through the email invitation.
⇒ Timecoded Markers: This function is not available for Streaming Type: Desktop & Web. This is a limitation of the streaming protocol used for Desktop & Web streaming (DolbyIO) - it is unable to process the data needed to transmit timecode. To use the timecoded markers function, use Streaming Type: Desktop Only.
⇒ Playback Application: If Playback has been left open for an extended period of time (i.e. over the weekend) we recommend logging out and logging back in. Failing to do so may result in Playback being unresponsive when attempting to schedule or modify settings, as it may have lost connection with our server and logged you out due to inactivity.
⇒ Streaming over WiFi: Streaming over WIFI rather than a hardwired connection, may result in compromised stream performance reflecting WiFi performance issues.
⇒ “It appears that you are currently signed in from another device. Do you want to sing out from that device and continue here?” message: Upon attempting to log back into Playback after an application crash, this message may appear. This is an expected message. If Playback quits unexpectedly, it may not gracefully log you out from our server, and you may still register as logged in. Click yes to proceed.
⇒ Playback Frame Rate Settings: In Streaming Session Settings and in Video Settings, setting the Streaming Framerate and Video Source Framerate to match the NLE/DAW framerate is critical. Not doing so may result in streaming errors. ******Match video rate
⇒ Playback Log Location: Logs are currently saved to a folder named “SPG Studios”. This folder name will be changed to “Remoto” in a future release.
⇒ Closing Video Capture Window: Closing a video window source that is being captured by Playback via any means other than partial screen capture (NDI, Application Window), or disconnecting the monitor screen that is being used as a Screen Capture source, will result in a streaming error as the streaming source will be lost.
⇒ Guest User - Audio Output Settings: In order for call audio or stream audio output changes to take effect, guests will need to leave the session and be re-admitted. (REMT-5862)
⇒ Playback's minimum app size is 1600x900 and is not responsive. If you are on a laptop with a smaller screen size using Playback Desktop and it is not fitting in your screen, please adjust your display size in System Settings to a resolution at least 1600x900.
⇒ Using NDI with Adobe Premiere: If Premiere is not actively playing content, Playback may present an error “Video Source Lost”. If this happens, stop the stream in Playback, restart your media in Premiere (play the media) and restart the stream.
⇒ Bluetooth Headphones: Using bluetooth headphones with Playback will result in some audio latency. This can be adjusted once the stream is live, using the "A/V" Sync" adjustment settings.

New Features
Session Settings Summary
When configuring or accessing your stream settings, there is now a concise summary of all your settings and their statuses! The summary will also tell you if you are downscalling your video for the stream, or if your frame rate is being trascoded.

Automatic Session Extension Toggle
A new toggle has been added to “Edit Session Details 1 of 2: Schedule” for one-time sessions. If toggled on, the session will automatically renew by processing an additional purchase when more time is needed.

Bug Fixes
Included in 1.2.1
5.1 Film Audio Folding to Stereo Incorrectly: Fixed an issue that when streaming a 5.1 audio source, and the Alternate Speakers setting is set to Stereo (not Passthrough), the audio downmix was not folding incorrectly, resulting in:
- Center channel (dialogue) is only heard in the right speaker, causing an incorrect balance in the stereo mix.
- Left surround (Ls) is incorrectly panned slightly right instead of fully to the left.
- Right surround (Rs) is incorrectly panned slightly left instead of fully to the right.
This affects 1.2.0 only, and is fixed in 1.2.1. (REMT-6986).
When a guest user scrolls up or down in the video tab (camera view) during a large session, the application crashes: This issue has been fixed. It was been observed in both Desktop & Web (DW) Sessions and Desktop-Only (DO) Sessions, with a high participant count (9+). The organizer is unaffected. (REMT-7105)
Included in 1.2.0
Film Audio Format Channel Misroute: Fixed an issue where 5.1 Film and 7.1 Film channels 2 and 3 were swapped in the resulting Playback stream. Additionally, if the Audio Input Source for the stream had a channel width greater than the chosen format, the last two audio channels were moved. (REMT-4496) (REMT-6144)
Playback Streaming Settings - Streaming From Application: Fixed an issue where if MacOS Sonoma was being used, and an application was chosen as the streaming source, the resulting video stream was cropped. (REMT-5675)
Known Issues
Critical
Guests might be unable to receive stream: There is an inconsistent issue where Guest participants may be unable to receive the stream as a result of being stuck in “Starting” or “Preparing” status. The stuck in “Preparing” issue only occurs on Desktop & Web type sessions, and only with NDI or Blackmagic as sources. It is 100% reproducible on Sonoma, and about 30% reproducible on Sequoia. It is not reproducible on Ventura. Workaround: If the Guest is stuck in “Preparing”, they can return to the dashboard by clicking on the Dashboard button, and then click on the Studio button to return to the session. If the Guest is stuck in “Starting” the only workaround is to leave the session and rejoin. (REMT-5723) (REMT-6503)
Guests who have left an active session may have issues receiving the stream when rejoining: If a Guest has left an active session (with a stream in progress) using the Desktop app, when they rejoin, they may be unable to receive the stream and be stuck in “Starting” state. This does not affect a Guest joining through the web. The workaround is to leave the session and rejoin. (REMT-6441)
Stream Setting changes when in a live stream will not take effect: As a session Organizer, if a stream is in progress, if you access Stream Settings and attempt to modify and save any settings, the changes will take effect. To change a Stream Setting, press “Stop Stream”, access your Stream Settings and make your adjustments, and save, and “Start Stream” in order for your changes to take effect. (REMT-6375) (REMT-5100)(REMT-1649)
Non-Critical:
Guest Webcam May Show Frozen Image Instead of Live Video for Guest only: Inconsistent. No known workaround. (REMT-5693)
Checking Mic Level in Preferences when in a Live Session results in no visual metering: If encountered using a Guest account, the workaround is to leave the session and request to re-join. There is no workaround if encountered with an Organizer account. (REMT-5421)
Guest may be stuck in the waiting room: Intermittent. A Guest may be waiting to be admitted to a session by the Organizer but the Organizer may not have received the request. If this occurs, as the Guest trying to be admitted, “Leave” the session through the waiting room dialog and attempt to rejoin. (REMT-4209)
2k Streaming Canvas incorrect resolution: Choosing a streaming canvas of 2k will result in an incorrect output resolution. Expected resolution should be 2560x1440 - the resulting resolution is 2048x1556. No workaround at this time. (REMT-6221)
"Disable Stream Audio for All" mutes both the stream and the call: As an Organizer, selecting “disable stream audio for all” incorrectly mutes both the the stream and the call audio. It should only mute the stream audio. Workaround: mute stream audio for participants individually. (REMT-6170)
